Pretty Two-piece Crochet Peter Pan Collar

Pretty crochet collar for your every need.
You can sow it on to your sweater of choice or keep it as a detachable necklace.
Play a bit with the button or color.
Whatever works for you, works for me!

I had tried this pattern but somehow it didn't work for me. It was very stiff and I couldn't get it to sit properly without curling. So I adapted it a little and made a two piece collar to fit my needs ;)

What you will need:
- a 4mm crochet hook
- yarn of your choice
- a button
- a needle

To start your necklace you need to chain 36 (36 chs).
Row 1: ch1; sc in every st (36 sts).
Row 2: ch2; dc in every stitch (36 sts).
Row 3: ch2; dc in first 4 stitches from chain, 2dc in next stitch, repeat to end (54 sts).
Row 4: ch2; dc in first 6 stitches, 2dc in next stitch,  repeat to end (63 sts).
Row 5: sl st in 1st stitch; 5sc in next stitch, sl st 3sts together, repeat to end.
Finish of.

Repeat once more for the other half, but instead of finishing of crochet a little tail (about 5 sts or so) to use as a loop for your button. Attach this to the tip of your collar with a slip stitch and then finish of.

You can use either sides as the front, using the button as key feature or not. You could also choose to chain a longer tail on both ends and simply tie it together. Or maybe add a bow or ribbon for some more cute appeal.

If you'd like to sow it on simply finish of both pieces with a long tail and leave detached. Use tail to sow collar on to your garment of choice with a yarn needle.

Enjoy!
